Chartering Broker / Analyst Position
A long-established, third generation family company operating a modern fleet of 8 ships (bulkers and tankers) with offices in London and Athens has a vacancy for a chartering broker/analyst. Candidates should have 2-4 years’ experience in chartering. The position will be based in the London office.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with our experienced team and Principals to fix both dry cargo ships and tankers on a variety of structured deals (from spot to longer period business).
- Gathering and analysing market data (dry and wet), assessing the impact of geopolitical events in the shipping industry and reporting in a clear, concise and timely manner to senior team members.
- Maintaining, developing and building new relationships with charterers and competitive brokers in both dry and wet segments.
Attributes Required:
- ICS qualified to MICS or FICS.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Must be proficient in using Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and other necessary applications.
- Must be a team player.
- Constantly willing to learn and improve skills.
- Adaptable.
- Motivated.
- Willing to travel.
