Chartering Broker / Analyst Position

A long-established, third generation family company operating a modern fleet of 8 ships (bulkers and tankers) with offices in London and Athens has a vacancy for a chartering broker/analyst.  Candidates should have 2-4 years’ experience in chartering.  The position will be based in the London office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with our experienced team and Principals to fix both dry cargo ships and tankers on a variety of structured deals (from spot to longer period business).
  • Gathering and analysing market data (dry and wet), assessing the impact of geopolitical events in the shipping industry and reporting in a clear, concise and timely manner to senior team members.
  • Maintaining, developing and building new relationships with charterers and competitive brokers in both dry and wet segments.

Attributes Required:

  1. ICS qualified to MICS or FICS.
  2. Fluency in written and spoken English.
  3. High level of attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work well under pressure.
  5. Must be proficient in using Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and other necessary applications.
  6. Must be a team player.
  7. Constantly willing to learn and improve skills.
  8. Adaptable.
  9. Motivated.
  10. Willing to travel.
